Sr Engineer / Lead Electrical and Automation

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Design and implement marine electrical and automation control systems from requirement analysis to commissioning.
  • Review project scope, specifications, and electrical design requirements to meet timelines and quality standards.
  • Develop functional design documents, diagrams, and test plans (functional & non-functional).
  • Perform system verification, validation, troubleshooting, and debugging.
  • Provide post-production and field support by resolving complex technical issues.
  • Ensure compliance with marine regulatory standards such as DNV, ABS, CCS, and other relevant statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers and cross-functional teams through verbal and written communication.
  • Capture and understand Voice of Customer (VOC) requirements and translate them into functional system designs.
  • Generate and report project metrics as per EIC-Pune and/or Business Unit guidelines.
  • Contribute to organizational initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
  • Perform product and system-level testing in engineering laboratories following safety guidelines.
  • Lead projects independently.

 For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Minimum Bachelor’s in Electronics / Instrumentation/ Mechatronics/ Robotic Automation Engineering or relevant discipline.

  • 5-8 years of experience in Software/ Project engineering including troubleshooting/debugging control systems, preferably in marine field.

  • Control Systems & programming: Handson experience in 
    • PLC programming compliant with IEC 61131-3.
    • Experience with Siemens, GE, WAGO, Allen-Bradley PLC platforms.
    • SCADA systems, HMI design, Web visualizations, SVG graphics.
    • Knowledge of SQL database configuration and logging.
  • Communication Protocols: Knowledge of
    • CAN-Bus
    • OPC-UA
    • MODBUS TCP/IP
    • MQTT
    • PROFINET
    • Strong understanding of data networking and cybersecurity principles.
  • Electrical Design Tools: Handson experience in,

    • EPLAN Electric P8 2024

    • EPLAN Fluid

    • EPLAN Cogineer

  • Knowledge of hardware/ software interfaces

  • Proficient with project configuration management tools, defect tracking tools and standard MS Office applications and Windows administrations. 

  • Conversant with MS Office Software tools such Visio, Word, Excel & Power Point.

  • Good Lateral Thinking, Strong customer/partner focus with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision.

  • Handle projects independently and guide team members as and when required.

  • Respect for the company’s values and ethics

  • Prior Working Experience in Global Engineering Environment is preferred


 Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity Standards like IEC 62443-3, E26, E27.

  • Knowledge of programming languages like HTML5, Node-RED, Grafana, XML/XAML analysis and configuration.

  • Knowledge of marine classification and compliance standards.

  • Strong Interpersonal Skills and Team Working.

  • Willingness to Learn is Critical.

  • Good Communication skills in Verbal English with neutral accent along with Collaboration skills.
