Position Overview
The Sr. Director, Growth Governance & Diligence provides strategic oversight, governance, and standards for Marriott’s growth organization, with a focus on M&A, new brands, and partnership due diligence and integration planning.. This role is accountable for ensuring that growth opportunities are evaluated, reviewed and integrated using consistent frameworks, decisioning, and clear risk assessments. The Sr. Director partners with cross-functional teams to drive integration strategy, risk management, and organizational alignment for scalable growth.
The role sits at the center of the growth lifecycle -- from opportunity intake and diligence planning through deal approval, signing, Day 1 readiness planning -- partnering closely with development, discipline leaders, and senior executives to enable informed decision making.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 10+ years in governance, , M&A, due diligence, consulting, or hospitality industry roles with strong career progression.
- Proven experience developing and implementing governance frameworks and standards.
- Proven experience leading or coordinating multi‑discipline due diligence for acquisitions, brand launches, or partnerships.
- Demonstrated success in risk management, project oversight, and business case development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience preparing executive presentations and decision materials.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with M&A governance in the hospitality industry.
- Familiarity with Marriott brands and disciplines.
Core Work Activities
- Lead the development and implementation of governance frameworks, decision rights, and standardized tools for growth initiatives.
- Define and maintain integration strategies, scope, requirements, and timelines for M&A, brand, and partnership projects.
- Set targets for Day 1 activation and stabilization in partnership with relevant disciplines.
- Provide project risk oversight, ensure value delivery, and act as a strategic guardrail for growth initiatives.
- Guide initiative prioritization, milestone alignment, and resourcing across the growth organization.
- Oversee intake processes and mobilize teams in collaboration with the PMO.
- Ensure execution reflects brand vision and differentiation guardrails.
- Drive organizational support for brand integration and lead business case development for new growth categories.
- Develop decision materials for senior leadership and provide regular updates to discipline leaders.
- Facilitate cross-discipline planning, communication, and stakeholder engagement.
- Diligence-specific responsibilities:
- Own and evolve Marriott’s growth due diligence framework, tools, and standards across M&A, brand acquisitions, and partnerships
- Lead diligence planning, scope definition, and execution coordination across all integration-focused disciplines (Brand, Commercial, Technology, Digital, etc.)
- Serve as the central point of orchestration for diligence timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and executive readouts
- Ensure diligence findings clearly articulate risks, synergies, integration complexity, and value implications for decision‑makers
- Drive consistency between diligence outputs, deal economics, and integration assumptions
