This individual is responsible for driving data and analytics enablement through enterprise data governance efforts. These efforts include driving adoption of the data and analytics catalog, facilitating enterprise metric standardization, capturing technical data lineage, developing metadata management strategies, delivering data quality programs, and creating the policies and procedures to support them. They will utilize data engineering skills to develop automation (pipelines, agents, dashboards, etc.) to enable efficient and effective data governance and use of data by users across the enterprise.

A Brief Overview
The Senior Enterprise Data Governance Analyst is responsible for driving data and analytics enablement through enterprise data governance efforts. These efforts include driving adoption of the data and analytics catalog, facilitating enterprise metric standardization, capturing technical data lineage, developing metadata management strategies, delivering data quality programs, and creating the policies and procedures to support them.


This position supports enterprise-level data governance program through assignment of a group of business or clinical data communities, and engagement with executive leadership. Position will also provide coordination of technical development activities.

What you will do

  • Provides support and direction within their assigned business or clinical data communities and the Enterprise Data Governance leadership (steering committees, councils, etc.).
  • Acts as the internal customer account manager, collaborating with leaders and end users to define data requirements and ensuring the successful delivery of solutions that meet their needs within the larger data and analytics framework and the Enterprise Data Governance Program at large.
  • Facilitates the adoption of the data governance framework by managing and nurturing meaningful relationships with data community stakeholders, actively engaging with the community, and promoting user engagement and participation in the governance program and platform.
  • Accountable for leading and managing the daily execution of data governance processes, including certifying data and analytics assets, and creating standards and governance policies to enable these processes.
  • Responsible for developing and delivering educational content through webinars and structured online training courses.
  • Provides project management and leadership to drive timelines and deliverables of projects across multiple departments/functions, while also managing cost, resourcing, and ensuring alignment with strategic value.
  • Leads teams to define design and development standards and conduct peer reviews of solution designs.
  • Acts as mentor to more junior data governance analysts and data stewards within the broader data governance community.


Education Qualifications

  • BS/BA DEGREE IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, INFORMATION SYSTEMS, DATA SCIENCE, BUSINESS MANAGEMENT, BUSINESS ANALYTICS, BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION OR A DIRECTLY RELATED FIELD FROM AN ACCREDITED COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY


Experience Qualifications

  • 7 (Seven) or more years of experience in Reporting, Analytics, Business Intelligence or Healthcare Technology
  • 4 (Four) or more years of experience in Enterprise Data Governance Program and Program and Technology


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced experience with data governance platform implementations, including data catalogs, technical lineage, metadata ingestion connectors, etc.
  • Expert knowledge and skills in standard reporting/visualization tools and the use of these tools. Focused experience with application-based analytic tools (e.g. Epic, Workday, Strata) is preferred.
  • Advanced experience with Data Governance frameworks
  • Advanced experience with Data Stewardship and Data ownership
  • Strong understanding of Data Quality principles and experience in data quality management and/or data engineering tools/platforms
  • Advanced experience working with data community/domain owners to manage analytic portfolios and associated metadata
  • Experience developing metadata management strategies
  • Creating and promotion of policies and procedures

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $55.85 - $74.00 per hour

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
