The Senior Data Analyst will collaborate within the Operations Innovation team and cross-functionally, leveraging advanced analytical techniques to support initiatives that are critical to the success of the enterprise, with a focus on pharma strategy at DaVita.
This role leverages advanced analytics and data science skills to translate ambiguous business questions into actionable insights. The Senior Data Analyst acquires and analyzes clinical and financial data and may apply statistical and machine learning techniques to synthesize findings into clear recommendations that inform decision making at the senior leadership level.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Collaborative Problem Solving
Uses hypothesis-based approach to identify, validate, and quantify opportunities
Analytics and Strategic Synthesis
Querying, cleaning, and analyzing complex datasets to derive meaningful insights and inform strategic decisions
Observes operations to incorporate “real-world” considerations into work
Written & Oral Communication
Conveys findings in a cohesive story, including summarizing insights from analysis
Presenting findings
Project Management
Manages analytical projects end-to-end, including scope definition, timelines, prioritization, and stakeholder communication
Balances multiple concurrent requests in a fast-paced environment while maintaining analytical rigor
Qualifications
1-4 years of professional experience in analytics, data analysis, or a related role
Demonstrated experience in:
Writing advanced SQL to query large, complex datasets
Using one or more programming languages (e.g. Python, R) for data analysis
Cleaning, transforming, and validating data from multiple sources
Preferred experience building predictive models (e.g. machine learning, regression, multivariate analysis) and conducting statistical analyses
Strong experience with Tableau, including developing dashboards and visual analyses that support decision-making
Ability to translate ambiguous problems into structured analyses and actionable recommendations
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting findings to non-technical and senior audiences
This is a hybrid role (in-office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday)
Travel: typical travel is 5-10%
