Job Description:

Planning and scheduling functions involved with coordinating products and materials through various production phases. Implements planned production schedules, labor loading and capacity requirements. Reviews schedules to determine materials and parts requirements to ensure materials are available according to schedules.

Essential Functions:

  • Candidate will be a conduit between program office and Director of Operations for development, production and spares/repairs activity.
  • Responsible for all projects assigned to the organizational unit with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Generate proposals, produce Estimate to Completes and drive day to day results.
  • Accountable for managing cost, schedule and quality as related to functions within the Operations organization.
  • Directly participate in establishing and administering many centralized functional projects.
  • Lead and manage matrixed co-workers both within and external to Operations Directorate.
  • Using a working knowledge of MRP; candidate will generate and maintain customer orders.
  • Provides guidance to subordinates and/or team members based on organizational goals and company policy.
  • Acts as an advisor to subordinate supervisors or staff members to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems.
  • Exerts influence in the development of overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization.
  • Incorporate lean initiatives that drive cost savings.

Qualifications:

  • Secret Clearance Required
  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • 1 year experience with an MRP System.
  • 1 year experience generating and maintaining customer orders.
  • Experience with process improvement tools including, Lean, Six Sigma with

white/yellow/green belt preferred.

  • Strong Tableau & Microsoft Office skills, highly proficient in Excel (e.g., Excel

formulas, V-lookups, pivot tables) and has skill in preparing tables, graphs, and

charts.

  • Experience in a production manufacturing environment either as a production

planner, master scheduler, demand planner, and/or supply planner

  • Experience in repairs environment.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from

management peers and subordinates.

  • Strong results and goal/deadline-oriented work ethic, high attention to detail and

be flexible.

  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to develop and bring to completion

multiple assignments concurrently.
