Senior E-CAD Specialist
Canonsburg, PA
Pay Estimated: $65 - $70/Hour
Senior E-CAD Specialist in our Maritime & Undersea Systems Unit. You will be responsible for the design and development of ruggedized electronics equipment, such as Printed Wiring Designs (PWBs), for the United States Navy and directly contribute to the technical and production success of our programs through hands-on technical contributions and leadership opportunities. This role requires independent problem-solving, technical expertise, and the ability to optimize tasks and resources effectively.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Program Management, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Component Engineering teams to complete printed wiring board (PWB) designs
Perform schematic capture, layout design, and schematic/layout constraint management
Execute netlisting, debugging, annotation, and layout post-processing activities
Create and verify schematic symbols, printed circuit board (PCB) footprints, and custom padstacks
Develop stack-ups, impedance models, and transmission line designs
Perform design rule checks (DRC), generate errors, and resolve layout/design issues
Generate, import, and export circuit card assembly documentation and detailed design reports
Convert legacy schematic data (PDF to Capture CIS native files) and layout data (Gerber/PDF to Allegro native files)
Netlist new schematics into layouts and verify accuracy against legacy data
Support multiple concurrent design efforts, including expedited requests and schedule-driven deliverables
Provide daily status reporting and maintain design files in centralized repositories
Participate in design reviews, checklist completion, and technical discussions with cross-functional teams
Host screen share design review sessions and collaborate with distributed design teams
Follow layout lead technical direction and support timely release of design data and files
