As CBRE Accounting Sr. Associate, you will oversee advanced accounting activities. This includes leading oversight of the general ledger, managerial reports, and financial statements.

This job is part of the General Accounting job function. They are responsible for the development and day-to-day maintenance of accounting processes and procedures.


What You’ll Do:
  • Maintain, record, and reconcile daily cash receipts. Complete billing uploads and receivable research.
  • Record and organize incoming cash transactions, making sure it aligns with financial records.
  • Assist with billing, investigation and resolving payment issues.
  • Help other Accountants create reports for income and balance sheet statements.
  • Populate financial schedules, reports and records for supervisor or manager review and verify accounting records are correct and categorized.
  • Process billing and invoicing and enter data into the accounting databases.
  • Enter information into various databases on a timely basis. This includes updating client information, change billing rules, and processing new business.
  • Update cash receipt information in the sub ledger and assist in month-end procedures.
  • Collaborate with team and customers to help achieve goals and timeline.
  • Resolve complex problems and identify appropriate approaches to existing solutions to accomplish team objectives.
  • May establish new techniques to ensure the team is able to meet its objectives.
  • Have a direct impact on the team objectives as well as the objectives of related teams.
  • Ensure personal and team outcomes have a positive impact on customer objectives.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Guide team through the application of basic knowledge of practices and procedures. Work to build consensus.

What You’ll Need:
  • High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years of job-related experience. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of a range of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within own job function and basic knowledge of related job functions required.
  • Requires the ability to explain complex concepts or sensitive information.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a master- level inquisitive mindset.
  • Exceptional math skills. Ability to calculate sophisticated figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the [Sr. Accounting Associate] position is $85,000.00 annually and the maximum salary for the [Sr Accounting Associate] position is $110,000.00 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
