POSITION SUMMARY:
To be fully engaged in providing Quality/No Harm, Customer Service and Stewardship goals and objectives. Under the general supervision of the Accounting Supervisor/Corporate Accounting Manager, the Sr. Accounting Analyst provides superior quality, competitive value and outstanding service. The Sr. Accounting Analyst’s responsibilities include work that is varied and challenging in character, with responsibility for recommendations and decisions. The Sr. Accounting Analyst will support Health First leadership, across all levels, to communicate financial positions, provide recommendations, analyze complex financial transactions and apply generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Additionally the Sr. Accounting Analyst will support finance management in leading, mentoring and coaching Finance staff.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
▪ BS degree in accounting, finance, or related field, from an accredited college or university required.
▪ Master degree desired.
▪ CPA licensure preferred
▪ Five plus accounting analysis experience preferred.
▪ Experience in the Healthcare industry preferred.
▪ Prior experience and knowledge in the use of software packages such as PeopleSoft Financials, Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and Windows.
▪ Extensive knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures of GAAP.
▪ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
▪ Enthusiasm and high level of job interest.
▪ Possess excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
▪ Possess computer abilities as well as oral and written communication skills.
▪ Demonstrates the ability to relate well with all customers and peers.
▪ Ability to prioritize and organize to maximize quality, value, and service.
▪ Possesses and applies fundamental accounting and financial concepts necessary to analyze the financial position of the organization.
▪ Remain current on all financial regulations and standards.
