The Sports Medicine Coordinator collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate the overall patient care for anyone referred to Franciscan Alliance with Sports Medicine conditions, facilitating a rapid, efficient transition through the System from referral, to diagnosis and treatment. This position develops relationships in the community with Sports Medicine organizations and professionals to ascertain their Sports Medicine needs, and ensure that we can meet their needs whenever possible. The Coordinator facilitates the addition of new Sports Medicine expertise providers as new knowledge and technology evolves, and works to enhance the overall reputation of Sports Medicine to the fullest degree possible.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
- Business Development Serves as a liaison between the program and area organizations to uncover needs, concerns, and appreciation. Work with department team members to coordinate field activity, market feedback, and follow up tasks. Utilize the interdisciplinary team to meet the needs of the Sports Medicine entities in our service areas.
- Reporting Administers the interdisciplinary Sports Medicine team. Organizes meetings on an appropriate schedule, which include strategic as well as operational issues. Establishes metrics for the volume of Sports Medicine services delivered by the Franciscan Alliance; collects and reports metrics to the Sports Medicine team and the Orthopedic Service Line.
- Program Coordination Coordinates a comprehensive concussion program.
- Business Development Develops a complete list of all Sports Medicine organizations and professionals in service areas such as schools, travel teams, recreational teams, exercise and training facilities, or sports camp. Identifies leaders and contact information for all entities and works to enhance existing relationships and develop new ones when needed. Meets regularly to assess their needs.
- Program Development Develops and implements marketing strategies and promotional activities in consultation with an in-house marketing agency including, but is not limited to, creating promotional materials, planning educational and speaker program, and scheduling lunches and out-of-office time with physicians and office staff.
- Process Improvement Implements strategies by working with key affiliate staff in response to customer's complaints or requests to facilitate stronger relationships. Identifies and recommends new approaches/strategies to facilitate stronger account alliance.
- Market Intelligence Monitors the external environment including competitor activity, and provides market intelligence to internal staff. Attends educational forums to enhance knowledge of current market trends and to gain marketing intelligence.
Qualifications
- Required Bachelor's Degree Athletic Training, Physical Therapy, Sports Medicine, Exercise Physiology or related area.
- 2 years Therapist or trainer Required
- 2 years Healthcare system Preferred
