Role Description

The Sports Immigration Case Specialist will play a key role in assisting attorneys with managing immigration cases for athletes, teams, and sports organizations. Responsibilities include drafting case materials, maintaining case files, communicating with clients, gathering and organizing required documentation, and staying updated on immigration policies. The ideal candidate is organized,

proactive, and excited to learn the unique demands of sports-related immigration filings in a fast-paced environment. This role will be responsible for supporting attorneys and senior staff with employment-based and family-based immigration matters and requires strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.


The location of this position is flexible, with prioritization on the New York, Washington, DC, Denver, and Los Angeles areas.


Major Responsibilities

1. Case Preparation and Filing - Prepare and file petitions and applications with U.S. government agencies, including:

  • H-1B and P-1 nonimmigrant visa petitions
  • I-485 adjustment of status applications
  • N-400 naturalization applications
  • Family-based I-130 immigrant petitions


2. Consular Processing - Assist clients with completing DS-160 applications and coordinating/scheduling visa appointments with U.S. embassies and consulates.


3. Administrative & Case Management Support

  • Provide legal and administrative support, including processing USCIS correspondence and maintaining organized case files.
  • Work closely with Senior Paralegals, Client Service Manager, and Partners throughout all stages of case preparation.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, agents, managers, and team representatives regarding case needs and timelines.
  • Update and maintain the firm’s case management system with accurate and timely information.


Qualifications

  • Strong Communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration within the legal team
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
  • Preferred: Previous experience in legal or immigration services, particularly within the sports industry
  • Bachelor's degree in law, sports management, or a related field is highly desirable
