Full-time School hours (33.75 hrs/wk)
Requirements:
- Active and unrestricted Maryland SLPA license
- Availability to work onsite in a school setting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience providing services to children and/or adolescents
- Previous experience working within a school system or educational setting
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in accordance with treatment plans and goals developed by the supervising Speech‑Language Pathologist.
- Work under the supervision of a licensed SLP, following all state, district, and professional guidelines.
- Collect and document data during therapy sessions to support progress monitoring and reporting.
- Assist with preparing therapy materials and resources to support instructional and therapeutic activities.
- Support students who use low‑tech AAC systems, including picture boards and communication books.
- Assist with training, programming, and basic troubleshooting of AAC devices as directed by the supervising SLP.
- Collaborate with the supervising SLP and school‑based team to support students’ communication and access needs.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school system and special education requirements.
Job Description: Insight Global is seeking 5 Speech-Language Pathology Assistants to work for a local school system based in Baltimore County, MD. The Speech‑Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) supports students’ communication needs by delivering speech and language services under the supervision of a licensed Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP). This role plays an integral part in helping students achieve their individualized goals while supporting augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) needs within the school environment.
Pay: Starting at 30/hr and up (Based on experience, educaiton, certifications)
