Speech-Language Pathologist

Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Works every fourth weekend
Additional hours available for those who are interested

The Speech-Language Pathologist provides high-quality, patient-centered speech-language pathology services to clients across the facility. This role supports the organization’s mission by delivering effective diagnostic, evaluative, and therapeutic services while maintaining compliance with all regulatory, professional, and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide appropriate speech-language pathology evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and therapeutic treatments for clients who may benefit from services.
  • Prepare comprehensive diagnostic, evaluative, and progress reports, including treatment recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation, progress notes, and professional records for all clients served.
  • Coordinate client evaluations, scheduling, and treatment plans to ensure continuity of care.
  • Obtain complete and relevant client history and background information for all referrals.
  • Compile and report accurate financial, statistical, and administrative data as required by the Speech-Language Pathology program.
  • Achieve and maintain productivity levels that meet or exceed facility and organizational standards.
  • Prepare and submit required time and attendance records.
Professional Practice & Compliance
  • Maintain current compliance with all regulatory, accrediting, and practitioner requirements, including but not limited to:
    • Active professional license
    • Required continuing education units (CEUs)
    • Current CPR certification
    • TB testing
    • Safety, age-specific, and equipment competencies
    • OSHA, TJC, CMS, and other applicable standards
    • Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance, when required
  • Adhere to all organizational policies, including Corporate Compliance Program standards, Code of Conduct, and HIPAA regulations.
  • Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality, ethics, and professional conduct, including the responsibility to report suspected unethical, incompetent, or illegal activities.
Professional Development & Engagement
  • Pursue ongoing professional growth and development aligned with organizational goals and the mission.
  • Participate in and present in-service training, staff development, and educational programs.
  • Attend and actively engage in staff meetings, departmental committees, and continuing education activities.
  • Participate in community education or organization-sponsored programs as requested.

Completions of CCCs strongly preferred.

  • Master’s degree (MS, MEd, or MA) in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • CCC‑SLP or completion of required academic coursework with active participation in a Clinical Fellowship (CF).
  • Current state Speech-Language Pathology license for the state in which services are provided.
  • CPR certification (AHA standards) required within 30 days of hire.
  • Knowledge of human growth and development across the lifespan.
  • Ability to interpret medical records and clinical documentation.
  • Strong organization, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Commitment to excellent customer service and patient‑centered care.
  • Must complete all required system, facility, and department orientations and competencies.
  • May work in areas where medications are stored; no direct medication handling
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Speech Pathologist
  • Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
