The Victoria and Thomas Martin School of Arts and Humanities has periodic openings for part-time, adjunct faculty to teach in the Communication program. The primary responsibility would be to teach COMM 221 Speech Communication.

Adjunct instructors in Communication primarily teach COMM 221, an introductory speech course designed to familiarize students with workable methods for planning, preparing, and delivering speeches. Courses may be offered face-to-face, online, or at off-campus locations depending on the University’s needs. For the 2026-2027 year, there are opportunities to teach on campus.
Responsibilities include:
Teach courses on-campus, off-campus, or online as assigned.
Work with the department head to ensure consistent and appropriate student learning.
Utilize the College's learning management system (Canvas) to assess student projects and record grades in a timely manner.
Respond to emails/messages in a timely manner.
Complete all required reports, such as early grade alerts, midterm grades, and final grades.
Ability to teach on campus in Pulaski, TN.
