Job Mission
  • This role is responsible for the expansion of new and existing specialty deposit relationships. Develop and maintain Escrow, Title, Property Management/HOA relationships by calling on existing and prospective customers, including identification of prospect’s, suitable method of contact and determination of their needs and appropriate products and/or services.
Job Duties
  • Build and maintain a portfolio of Specialty Deposit customers via referrals and self-sourcing in a segment of geographies territory.
  • Analyze the customer’s deposit needs by engaging with them in a consultative business development approach and provide recommendations that add value and deliver strategic solutions.
  • Manage and apply pricing strategy and demonstrate a high level of understanding around Account Analysis billing systems for treasury management products.
  • Establishes strong relationships with key principles to form deep client relationships and obtain trust.
  • Develop and deliver effective sales proposals and able to present to c-suite level management
  • Increase the market share through growth and commercial client retention efforts in assigned geographic markets.
  • Track business activities/data and pipeline and accurately manage them in the system.
  • Collaborate closely with servicing and operations across product lines to ensure clients receive superior operational support.
  • Actively participate in any required corporate and business line compliance training. Follow account opening procedures and understands all internal suspicious activity referral requirements and processes, as required for this position. Actively work with clients to understand their normal account activity, as appropriate.
  • Actively participates with local community organizations to maximize networking and relationship building opportunities.
  • Ensure adherence to all bank policies relative to Regulatory & Compliance such as the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, Anti-Money Laundering Act, Privacy Act, Customer Identification Program (CIP), Know Your Customers (KYC), Suspicious Activity Reports (SARS), Currency and Transaction Reporting (CTR), etc.
  • Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the –job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.
  • Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company to manage customer relationships.
  • Ability to train and present to small and large audiences.
  • Perform all assigned duties under Bank’s compliance programs and related laws & regulations
  • Successfully complete all mandatory training on related Bank’s and BSA compliance as well as other laws and regulations as assigned and in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification & Prerequisites
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • 5 + years of prior business development and/or relationship management experience for a Retail/Commercial Bank.
  • Extremely strong relationship management and business development abilities, analytical and problem solving skills, and strong sales skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of business development and marketing techniques, bank operations and services, federal and state banking regulations, and the income and cost structure used to measure profitability.
  • Advanced knowledge of deposit and services that result in successfully capitalizing on all opportunities to cross-sell the bank’s products.
  • Proven track record of success and skills in developing new clients and business, including prospecting, sourcing and networking. Also includes strong negotiating and closing skills and ability to create presentations and present to clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentations skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
