Commercial Banking provides financial solutions to businesses with annual sales generally in excess of $5 million. Our business lines are Wells Fargo Commercial Capital, Middle Market Banking, and Treasury Management & Payment Solutions.
Middle Market Banking
- Services private and public companies with annual sales of $5 million to $2 billion
- Specialized expertise across industry sectors
The primary responsibilities of this relationship manager will include:
- Leading dialogue with C-suite and other Senior-level client executives
- Strong leadership of relationship coverage and deal teams including, Credit and Risk Management, Debt Capital Markets, other product partners and Executive Management
- Independently leading the most complex transactions to successful conclusion with little to no supervision. This includes interfacing with Credit and Risk Management, and coordinating with Investment Banking coverage and product groups
- Possessing deep and strong demonstrated technical expertise regarding Wells Fargo's most complex capital structures and other product capabilities
- Demonstrating experience and industry knowledge related to covering clients in the Healthcare industry
- Consistently driving left lead business and broadening client relationship across multiple products and services
- Presenting comprehensive credit recommendations to executive credit approvers showing a complete understanding of the client and credit opportunities/risks
- Consistent portfolio management including adherence to underwriting, compliance and regulatory requirements
- Proactively reviewing the portfolio and taking action in a timely manner to mitigate risk

There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 9+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: commercial banking relationship management, corporate banking relationship management, equity or venture capital investing
Desired Qualifications
- Account relationship management experience
- Experience originating, structuring, and executing bank lending transactions, other credit related products, for critical or complex clients
- Strong knowledge and understanding of risk management and complex credit executions related to acquisition financing and bridge underwriting
- Strong knowledge and understanding of negotiating: interest rates, price, terms, and collateral requirements
- Strong knowledge and understanding of commercial or specialty group: lending, loan servicing, products, and credit practices
- Strong knowledge and understanding of debt and equity capital markets
- Strong credit analysis skills
Other Desired Qualifications - 10+ years of banking industry experience
- Extensive experience originating, structuring, and executing transactions related to commercial banking or other credit related products for the most critical or complex clients
- Proven ability to establish relationships at the CFO/Treasurer level of existing clients and build multifaceted revenue streams from strategic clients, including capital markets
- Strong knowledge and understanding of treasury management, debt capital markets, interest rate, and foreign exchange risk management, loan syndications, asset management, leasing, Asset Backed Finance (ABF), Futures Commission Merchant (FCM), Prime Brokerage and other relevant Wholesale products
- Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
- Extensive experience covering the Healthcare industry desired
Job Expectations
- Registration for FINRA Series 63 and 79 must be completed within a 90 or 180-day time period contingent upon number of license(s) needed if not immediately available to transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted. This will be communicated at time of offer acceptance.
- For specific FINRA qualification exams obtained after 9/30/2018, the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam co-requisite may also be required FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted. This will be communicated at time of offer acceptance
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
