About the Role
We are a fast-growing CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization) specializing in medical devices. We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Legal Contract Specialist to join our Legal team.
In this role, you will focus on the review, drafting, negotiation, and management of contracts while working closely with AI-powered contract tools and systems. You will combine your legal expertise with cutting-edge AI technology to drive efficiency, reduce risk, and create significant value for the business. You will partner with cross-functional teams including Business Development, Procurement, Quality & Regulatory, and Project Management Office to support complex manufacturing agreements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Review, draft, negotiate, and finalize a high volume of commercial contracts, including:
Supply and Manufacturing Agreements
Master Services Agreements
Development and Manufacturing Agreements
Quality Agreements
General Purchase Agreement
Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
Statements of Work (SOWs), Change Orders, and Amendments
2. Collaborate closely with the Business Development Team and participate in customer negotiations, providing on-the-spot legal advice, redlining and guidance during discussion.
3. Leverage AI-powered contract review and management to accelerate contract turnaround time, improve consistency, and enhance risk detection
4. Work collaboratively with AI systems to continuously refine contract templates, clause libraries, and playbooks, creating scalable value through smarter legal operations
5. Provide practical, business-oriented legal guidance to internal stakeholders on contract terms, compliance requirements, and potential issues
6. Manage the full contract lifecycle from initiation through negotiation, execution, renewal, and
7. Support corporate governance matters in the United States.
Requirements
Education & Qualifications:
-Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Laws (LLM) from an accredited law school is required
-Active Bar membership in any jurisdiction is preferred, but not required
-Newly graduated candidates are welcome to apply — strong academic performance and demonstrated interest in commercial contracts, life sciences, or legal technology will be considered
Experience & Skills:
-0-3+ years of relevant experience in commercial contract review, drafting, and negotiation (in-house, law firm, or combination). Newly graduates are also welcome.
-Experience in the life sciences, medical device, or CDMO industry is strongly preferred
-Proven ability to work with AI-powered legal tools or a strong interest in leveraging AI to enhance contract processes and create business value
-Excellent drafting, negotiation, and risk-assessment skills
