Role: SAP SD OTC Solution Architect
Location: Newark, CA (Onsite 100%)
Duration: Contract (6+ months, potential extension)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP SD OTC Solution Architect to lead end-to-end design and architecture of Order-to-Cash processes on SAP S/4HANA. This role requires deep expertise in SD combined with strong architectural vision to design scalable, integrated solutions across ERP, eCommerce, and digital platforms in a high-growth automotive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own end-to-end OTC solution architecture across SAP S/4HANA and integrated systems
- Lead solution design for complex scenarios: order orchestration, advanced pricing, billing, returns, and fulfillment
- Architect and govern aATP (Advanced ATP) capabilities including:
- Backorder Processing (BOP)
- Product Allocation (PAL)
- Supply Assignment (ARun)
- Drive integration architecture across SAP and external platforms (CRM, eCommerce, 3PL, payment systems)
- Establish scalable design patterns, governance, and best practices for OTC processes
- Partner with business and IT leadership to translate strategy into technical roadmaps and solution blueprints
- Lead S/4HANA transformation initiatives (Greenfield/Brownfield) with focus on SD/OTC
- Provide architectural oversight to configuration, development, and integration teams
- Review and approve functional/technical specifications, RICEFW objects, and integration designs
- Identify performance bottlenecks and design high-volume, high-availability solutions
- Mentor consultants and enforce architecture standards and design quality
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of SAP experience with deep specialization in SAP SD/OTC
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect / Lead Architect in S/4HANA programs
- Strong hands-on expertise in:
- Advanced Pricing & Condition Technique
- Order Management, Billing, Returns, Credit Management
- Logistics Execution & Fulfillment
- Strong experience in aATP (mandatory)
- Deep integration knowledge across FICO, MM, EWM, PP
- Expertise in integration architecture:
- IDOCs, APIs, OData, middleware (CPI/PI/PO, MuleSoft, etc.)
- Experience designing solutions in high-volume transactional environments
- Strong understanding of data models, master data governance, and performance optimization
- Ability to engage with executive stakeholders and drive architecture decisions
