Solid Waste Worker II - Seasonal

Job Description

The Town of Ocean City is now hiring for summer Solid Waste Worker II. Relish the beautiful beach scenery while driving in air-conditioned comfort. Operates Roll-off, front-end, automated, and side loader trucks. Performs preventive maintenance & reports on assigned vehicle. Transports trash to disposal sites which includes transfer station and landfill. Assists Solid Waste Worker I in assigned duties and cleans trucks as needed. May be required to work at the Transfer Station as required by Management. All other duties assigned.

Work schedule

• Early morning to mid-afternoon
• Expected start date April 27, 2026

• Experience driving heavy machinery or operating a front-end, automated, side-load and rear load refuse truck is preferred.
• This position offers a schedule of early morning to mid-afternoon which will allows you to enjoy the remainder of your day.
• Hourly rate $22.01 for new employees and $22.45 for returning employees (who meet specified requirements)
• Candidate must have a valid CDL license with a current DOT physical card
• Pass a post offer drug test and background check
