Job Description

The Wave Coating Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, maintaining, and shutting down wave soldering equipment and related machinery. This role involves handling materials, mixing solutions, and completing required production documentation. Additionally, the operator will inspect, repair, and rework coated boards, communicate equipment or production issues, maintain a clean work area, and occasionally lift components up to 60 lbs. Candidates should possess a high school education, mechanical aptitude, knowledge of electronic components, and the ability to read and understand electronic assembly documentation while working safely on a manufacturing floor.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate wave soldering equipment and related machinery.
• Maintain and shut down wave soldering equipment.
• Handle materials and mix solutions as required.
• Complete required production documentation accurately.
• Inspect, repair, and rework coated boards.
• Communicate any equipment or production issues promptly.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Lift components weighing up to 60 lbs when necessary.

Essential Skills

• Experience with wave solder machine operation.
• Knowledge in electronics manufacturing and PCBA.
• Understanding of SMT and PCB manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and understand electronic assembly documentation and drawings.
• Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of electronic components, including identifying resistor color bands and wire colors.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school education required.
• Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry 40–60 lbs.

Work Environment

This position operates on the 2nd shift from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm. Work is conducted on a manufacturing floor, where safety is a priority.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, WI.

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Milwaukee,WI.
