Pay Rate: 70,000 - 90,000


About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Project Manager to support the planning and execution of construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role assists the Project Manager in delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget while upholding high quality standards and strong client satisfaction.

Our work includes commercial and industrial construction projects with a strong focus on renewable energy installations, particularly solar (PV) systems and related electrical infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Project Manager in coordinating projects from pre-construction through completion and turnover
  • Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and cost tracking reports
  • Help coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction activities
  • Support subcontractor and vendor coordination, including tracking scopes of work and deliverables
  • Participate in site visits and assist with monitoring onsite construction activities
  • Help ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards, building codes, and local regulations
  • Assist with permitting, inspections, and utility interconnection processes
  • Support solar-specific activities, including PV system installation coordination, documentation for inspections, and PTO submissions
  • Track project documentation, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contracts
  • Prepare progress reports and provide updates to internal leadership
  • Participate in client meetings and maintain clear communication with stakeholders


Qualifications:

  • 2–4 years of experience in construction project coordination or assistant project management (solar or electrical construction experience preferred)
  • Basic understanding of construction project lifecycle and site operations
  • Familiarity with photovoltaic (PV) systems and electrical infrastructure is a plus
  • Experience with scheduling, budgeting, and subcontractor coordination
  • Familiarity with permitting and inspection processes
  • Proficiency in project management software (Procore, MS Project, or similar)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • PMP, CAPM, NABCEP, or related certifications (preferred but not required)
