Wells Fargo Capital Markets Technology is looking to add a Senior / Lead Engineer, focused on Rates Strategic Risk and P&L, supporting Investment Banking activities. This is an exciting opportunity to participate in a progressive technology platform roll out, that will allow the candidate extensive interaction with the Rates trading desks.
The individual in this role will have responsibility for:
- Gathering detailed requirements from the Rates trading desks
- Providing SME product knowledge and experience to the core Vasara team
- Partnering with the core Vasara team on planning, implementation and testing, and take responsibility for
- delivering to the Rates trading desks
- Technical Leadership for the Rates Strategic Risk team to progress further integration with Vasara on existing risk and pricing

Ideal candidate will:
- Be a Rates product SME, especially around non-linear products
- Be a Rates SME in Risk, Pricing or PNL
- Have Experience building and supporting relevant technology to lead business forward
- Have Hands-on experience in core Java and Python
- Mentor Junior Developers to successfully implement strategic initiatives from design to coding
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of software engineering experience
- 7+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: securities, quants, artificial intelligence, or machine learning
- 10 + years of Core Java experience
- 10+ years of investment banking experience
- 10+ years of fixed Income experience
- 10+ years of trading systems development or implementation experience
- 7+ years of Multi-Threading Experience
- 5+ years of risk analysis and quantification experience
- 5+ years of Grid computing experience
- 5+ years of Cache experience
- 5+ years of Spring experience
- 5+ years of MS SQL server experience
- 5+ years of RESTful or SOAP web services
- 5+ years of Web Services experience
Desired Qualifications
- A Masters degree or higher in computer science or finance
- A professional certification in technology
- Basic knowledge of industry regulations related to building technological solutions
- BS/BA in computer science, applied statistics, quantitative economics, operations research or a related field
- Knowledge and understanding of derivative products: risk and valuation methodologies
- Knowledge and understanding of design, development, and implementation of high performance solutions that integrate with exchanges for pricing and risk management
- Ability to synthesize complex analytical findings into executive level communications
Other Desired Qualifications - Front Office Development experience within a complex investment banking environment
- Experience interacting with Traders, Sales and Quants
