This position will join a team of software developers to support the end-to-end test automation for critical projects and business processes supporting Credit Card, Cobrand Card, Retail Services and Merchant Services lines of business. We are seeking a software engineer that is passionate about creating test automation to reduce manual error and to gain efficiencies in testing cycles.  

The responsibilities include:

  • Design, code, test, debug, and document programs/test scenarios using Agile development practices leveraging the Wells Fargo Test Automation Framework
  • Assess and understand the flow of code and its interaction with various processes
  • Document processes and client demands for process improvement
  • Log, manage, track, and resolve issues/impediments and defects, escalate if necessary
  • Document User Stories and test scenarios using agile best practices
  • Troubleshoot application bugs or other issues on mobile, desktop, and web-based platforms
  • Test automation builds, execution, and script troubleshooting
  • Maintain existing scripts as a test bed for regression scripts
  • Conduct demos for internal and external parties
  • Assist testers in configuring their system to support scheduling the execution of automated scripts
  • Participate in all agile ceremonies, including retrospectives for continuous improvement

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • A BS/BA degree or higher
  • 5+ years of front-end software engineering experience
  • 3+ years of Java experience
  • 3+ years of experience with Selenium
  • 1+ year of SQL experience


Desired Qualifications

  • An industry-standard technology certification
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Financial industry experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of secure SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) methodologies
  • Agile experience
  • 1+ year of JIRA experience


Other Desired Qualifications
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently without daily instruction (self-manage assigned work)
  • Flexible in work schedule to support multiple time zones
  • 3+ years in analyzing requirements
  • 1+ years in analyzing application or error logs
  • Proven experience creating automation frameworks and tools to support test automation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management & organization skills
  • Ability to identify risks and errors in applications
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in similar roles
  • Experience with Computer Associate's DevTest (Lisa) test virtualization tool
  • Experience using Perfecto or deviceConnect for Device Testing
  • Knowledge of Behavior Driven Development (BDD)
  • Experience with GIT HUB, TestNG, Jenkins, Eclipse Photon, ALM, rest API, JSON, and Maven software tools
