As a Software Engineer III - iOS at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Community Banking, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

 

Job responsibilities

  • Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting, thinking beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
  • Create secure, high‑quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
  • Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure design constraints are met by software code development.
  • Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets to continuously improve software applications and systems.
  • Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data and use these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.
  • Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.

     

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
  • Experience in designing and implementing iOS applications using Swift UI.
  • Experience working with API integration.
  • Experience in iOS frameworks like Foundation, UIKit, CocoaTouch, and Core Data.
  • Experience using Xcode-provided tools like Debug Memory Graph, Debug View Hierarchy, and Instruments for profiling.
  • Experience with one or more design patterns: MVC, MVVM, MVP, Singleton.
  • Working knowledge of Git/Bitbucket version control.
  • Created an application that is available in Apple’s AppStore.
  • Proficiency with Linux, Mac OS X, GNU tools, and scripting languages.
  • Understanding of build systems and CI/CD (Jenkins).
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks and code coverage tools for Swift.

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
  • Exposure to cloud technologies.
