Pay Range: $65.00-70.00per hr. 
 
Overview
We are seeking a Software Engineer III to support the R2 Project within a fully on-premise .NET-based transaction processing platform (FETA). This role is primarily backend-focused, responsible for designing and maintaining APIs that support critical financial transactions including reservations, bookings, and settlements.
This is an enterprise environment where engineers work closely with DevOps and product teams to ensure reliable, scalable service delivery.
 
Environment & Tech Context

• Fully on-premise environment
• No cloud technologies used
• Terraform is not used or required
• DevOps collaboration is expected, but developer role is not DevOps-heavy 

Frontend vs Backend Scope

• This is a backend-first engineering role
• Primary focus: C# / .NET API development
• React or frontend experience is a plus only, not required
• UI exists in React, but this role is not expected to work on frontend

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain C#/.NET REST APIs
• Support transaction processing workflows (reservations, bookings, settlements)
• Build and maintain API integrations and proxies
• Troubleshoot issues in non-production and production environments
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, etc.)
• Perform and participate in code reviews
• Follow established SDLC processes and engineering standards
• Collaborate with DevOps for CI/CD awareness and deployment support

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering
• 5+ years of software development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET API development
• Experience building and supporting RESTful APIs
• Experience troubleshooting production systems
• Strong understanding of Agile and SDLC practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in financial services or transaction-based systems
• Exposure to API gateways or proxy-based architectures
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines (awareness only)
• Experience with React (nice to have, not required)
• Cloud experience (not required, not used in this environment)
