  • Drive technical excellence by guiding system design, making sound architectural decisions, and contributing hands-on when needed

  • Deliver scalable and reliable systems by applying guidelines in distributed systems, cloud-native development, and modular architecture

  • Establish and enforce engineering standards across development, testing, deployment, and operational support

  • Champion operational excellence, including system observability, monitoring, alerting, and continuous performance optimization

  • Dive deep into technical challenges, partnering with engineers to fix complex issues and ensure long-term solutions

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, scientists, and operations collaborators to define requirements and deliver impactful solutions

  • Earn trust and influence collaborators by communicating clearly, making data-driven decisions, and aligning teams around technical strategy and priorities

  • Continuously improve team processes and systems, driving efficiency, scalability, and maintainability

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience

  • 2+ years of experience leading or managing software engineering teams

  • Strong proficiency in a modern programming language such as Java or Python

  • Experience designing and building scalable, distributed systems using cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Strong system design and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate trade-offs and drive pragmatic decisions

  • Demonstrated ownership of systems or projects, with a track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment

  • Proven ability to develop and grow engineers through coaching, mentorship, and feedback

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution

Bonus:

  • Experience building systems at eCommerce scale

  • Experience with Spring-based microservices

  • Experience with AWS and cloud-native architectures

  • Experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations research domains

  • Experience building distributed, highly available, and high-performance systems
