Software Architect – IIS ApplicationsWe are seeking a high-caliber Software Architect to lead the design, development, and evolution of our mission-critical IIS-hosted applications. In this role, you will act as the technical authority, bridging complex business requirements with secure, scalable, and high-performance software solutions. You will be responsible for ensuring the structural integrity, security, and scalability of enterprise applications throughout their lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesLead architectural discussions to analyze technical requirements and design scalable, performance-efficient applications optimized for IIS deploymentTranslate complex business needs into detailed technical designs, components, and specifications for development teamsEvaluate, recommend, and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and libraries for both front-end and back-end solutionsEstablish and enforce code quality standards, best practices, and rigorous code reviews across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)Design and engineer systems with a strong focus on database optimization, performance tuning, and caching strategies to ensure maximum efficiencyEnsure all application architectures strictly adhere to ADPH security standards and enterprise security requirementsServe as the technical liaison between software developers, project managers, business analysts, and customers to ensure successful and timely project deliveryProvide technical leadership and guidance in converting complex business requirements into well-structured technical architecturesTop 4 skills: ASP.NET Core MVC 4/5C#ADO.NETSQL Server / SSMSRequired Technical Expertise:ASP.NET Core MVC 4/5C#HTML5, JavaScript, jQueryADO.NETSQL Server / SSMSVisual StudioBootstrapIIS (Internet Information Services) configuration and optimizationPreferred Skills & AttributesStrong architectural mindset with experience designing enterprise-scale systemsProven ability to optimize application performance and scalabilityDeep understanding of secure software design principlesExcellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiencesExperience working across cross-functional teams in a leadership role

This is a Contract position based out of Montgomery, AL.

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
