Provide permanent planning for foster children in the agency’s custody. Job involves working with separated families and with adoptive families. Also involves close work with various systems in the community (judicial, educational, medical, psychological, etc.) on behalf of families. Primary responsibilities will include provision of foster care and adoptive services as needed within the assigned social work team. Other assignments may be given as agency needs require.

Master’s degree in social work from an accredited school of social work; Bachelor’s degree in social work from an accredited school of social work and completion of the Child Welfare Collaborative; Bachelor’s degree in social work from an accredited school of social work and one year directly related experience; Master’s degree in counseling in a human services field and one year of social work or counseling; Bachelor’s degree in a human services field from an accredited college or university and two years directly related experience; Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and three years directly related experience. AN OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT OF THE HIGHEST DEGREE WORK IS REQUIRED.

Salary Range: $60,182.67 - $93,884.97 (Social Worker III – Grade 331C)

"Work Against" Qualifications:

A. Social Worker II - $54,587.46 - $69,871.95 Bachelor’s degree in social work from an accredited school of social work; Bachelor’s degree in a human services field from an accredited college or university and one year of directly related experience; Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and two years of directly related experience. AN OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT OF THE HIGHEST DEGREE WORK IS REQUIRED.

B. Social Worker I - $49,512.44 - $63,375.92 Bachelor's degree in a human services field from an accredited college or university; Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and one year directly related experience. THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTION FOR BACCALAUREATE DEGREE.
