As the Video Production Specialist, you’ll help bring the SpotOn brand to life through compelling video content across social media, paid advertising, YouTube, customer education, testimonials, and product storytelling. You’ll work closely with our marketing team to concept, film, edit, and produce content that educates, entertains, and drives engagement. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is highly creative, plugged into social trends, and excited to grow in a hands-on production environment.
This is a 6-month contract role with the opportunity for full-time employment based on performance and business needs. This is an in-house position based in Manchester, NH, with an expectation of being on-site regularly to collaborate with the team, understand our culture, and learn the nuances of the SpotOn product and customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Film and edit content for organic and paid social media campaigns
- Create compelling short-form content for platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, and other emerging channels
- Produce long-form educational and product-focused videos for YouTube and other digital platforms
- Film customer testimonials, product demonstrations, interviews, and lifestyle content
- Assist in developing storylines, scripts, shot lists, and creative concepts
- Edit existing footage into engaging content optimized for multiple platforms and formats
- Design and animate motion graphics, text overlays, and other visual elements
- Support video ad creation and campaign asset development
- Capture indoor and outdoor footage, including product, lifestyle, and dog-focused shoots
- Assist with lighting, audio setup, and on-location production needs
- Perform audio editing and post-production cleanup
- Stay current on social media trends, influencer content styles, editing techniques, and platform best practices
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, creative, social, customer experience, and product teams
- Organize and manage video assets, project files, and production equipment
- Travel locally for shoots, events, customer visits, or content opportunities as needed
- Create basic graphics, infographics, and visual assets for marketing use (preferred)
- Support website and CMS-related content updates as needed (preferred)
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Video Production, Graphic Design, Film, or a related field (or extensive experience filming and editing content for social media)
- 1–3 years of experience, internships, freelance work, or strong portfolio samples in video production, editing, or social media content
- Passion for storytelling, branding, and digital content creation
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator (preferred)
- Experience with tools such as Canva and CapCut
- Experience with video editing platforms such as DaVinci Resolve, or Avid Media Composer
- Understanding of social media trends, content formats, and storytelling best practices
- Interest in YouTube Studio, YouTube optimization, and video performance analytics
- Knowledge of lighting, framing, composition, and audio capture for video production
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Creative mindset with a willingness to experiment and test new ideas
- Comfortable working around dogs and in outdoor environments
- Entrepreneurial, self-starter attitude with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable being on camera as needed. A budding influencer, active content creator, or someone with a strong social media presence is a major plus
- Experience creating graphics, animations, and infographics (preferred)
- Basic understanding of HTML and CMS platforms (preferred)
- Ability to work in our Manchester, NH office 3-4 days a week
