Job Title: Social Media Designer
Locations: Atlanta, GA
Duration: 6 months contract
PR: $35/hr - $42/hr on W2
What We Do/Project
- This position is ideal for someone who loves and understands visual storytelling and can translate the brand into compelling video and design content for social media.
- You will work with the Art Director to develop content to reach our fans on Instagram, TikTok, Youtube, etc.
- A portfolio or social media account with at least 8-10 examples of relevant work is required for consideration.
Job Responsibilities / Typical Day in the Role
- Develop and present ideas for graphics and animated content in line with the brand
- Create original and IP-based content optimized for social media
- Graphic design - digital banners, icons, type layout, logo lockups
- Create design elements (title cards, lower thirds) for YouTube videos and various video content
- Repurpose/rework existing artwork into different formats
- Absorb analytics/insights to inform creative decisions
- Follow brand guidelines and ethos, team work flows and processes
- Collaborate with the wider social media team
Must Have Skills / Requirements
- Graphic Design – Typography and Design experience
- 3+ years; Variety of styles would be good to see. Portfolio required.
- Adobe Creative Suite Experience
- 3+ years; After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier (Bonus).
- Fluency with Social Media platforms
- 3+ years; Discord, Reddit, Instagram, Facebook (Meta), Twitter (X), TikTok, Twitch, etc.
Nice to Have Skills / Preferred Requirements
- Illustration skills
- Experience with ClickUp (Project Management Tool)
- Compositing/Rotoscoping skills
- Proficiency in 3D programs like Blender
- Experience working with adult animation content
- Knowledge of topics that are relevant to our fans - online culture, animation, gaming, anime
Soft Skills:
- Dialed into culture and what’s next in content and storytelling
- Efficiently and effectively present concepts, and execute projects from start to finish
- Ability to take input and feedback from multiple sources
- Ability to discern between projects that require a direct translation of provided art direction, and others that have room for creative interpretation
- Self-starter who proactively follow up and follow through with projects without heavy direction
- Can handle a very fast-paced environment with last minute changes
- Excellent time management skills to meet tight turnarounds
Technology Requirements:
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Affects and other Adobe programs
- Fluency of social media platforms and familiarity with emerging and current online communities (Reddit, Discord)
- Technical knowledge of social media platforms specs and file delivery formats
