JOB SUMMARY: Assumes authority of Slot gaming areas in the absence of the Slot Station Supervisor. Assists Slot Station Supervisor in daily operation of department. Performs supervisory and administrative/operational duties. Oversees day-to-day operations of Slot gaming area.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required skills and knowledge:

  • High school diploma or GED certificate.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Must complete Title 31 requirements.
  • Minimum of one (1) year as a Slot attendant.
  • Excellent guest service skills.
  • Knowledge of rules and procedures of electronic games or similar experience.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Possess excellent decision-making skills.
  • Possess leadership skills.
  • Possess active listening skills.
  • Pass NRWC pre-employment testing.
  • Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to obtain a Class III Gaming License.

Preferred skills and knowledge:

  • Knowledge of gaming regulations and related financial requirements.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to follow through with projects.
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Programs.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Manual and finger dexterity for operation of personal computer and routine paperwork.
  • Ability to stand or move continuously for 8 hours or more.
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds.
  • Ability to tolerate a smoke-filled environment.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

  • Ensures proper operation of department and conformity with Casino policies and procedures.
  • Handles guest and Team Member disputes.
  • Demonstrates positive guest and Team Member relations.
  • Reviews internal audit work daily in accordance with gaming policies and procedures.
  • Supervises game loading, auditing and reconciling.
  • Directs and/or coordinates Slot operations to obtain optimum efficiency and economy.
  • Ensures department compliance with Tribal-State Compact.
  • Provides and coordinates training for Team Members.
  • Reports to Slot Station Supervisor/Slot Shift Supervisor/Slot Manager on day-to-day operations.
  • Ability to explain how to play the machines offered in the Casino.
  • Maintain proper radio etiquette.
  • Keep Team Members motivated.
  • Awareness of gaming lights on gaming machine(s).
  • Knowledge of location for all games on floor.
  • Ensure cleanliness of the gaming floor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
