Are you passionate about gardening and making an impact on our community and parks system. New Ulm Park and Recreation is looking for 1-2 Gardner positions. The temporary summer positions will perform manual labor to assist Park & Rec department. Tasks include planting, deadheading, weeding, and pruning of annual and perennial flower beds. Additional tasks may include soil preparation, mulching, light irrigation, and designing and installation of seasonal container arrangements.
Applicants must be 18 years of age.
The position will last for approximately 6 months (April - September), up to 40 hours per week, and work hours are flexible and can vary from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. weekdays and occasional weekends for the Park & Recreation department.

Position requires a high school diploma, GED or enrollment in a qualified course of study the completion of which results with a diploma or GED and a valid driver's license. Some proven experience in any of the following areas: grounds maintenance, landscaping, planting and caring for trees, shrubs and other ground vegetation.
