Raytheon is seeking an experienced Material Program Manager (MPM) to join the Advanced Programs (AP) Operations & Supply Chain (OSC) team supporting a portfolio of programs located onsite in Tucson, Arizona. The successful candidate will be a self-starter capable of developing and achieving program material delivery and financial performance objectives in a matrixed environment and successfully interface with functional and program leadership.

In this role, you’ll be the liaison between Supply Chain and Program teams. You’ll execute the Program material strategy to ensure execution from the front end of the business through contract closure.

This position supports product development efforts and requires you to operate in a challenging and constantly changing environment where successful material strategy execution is a key contributor to overall program success.

This position is a primarily onsite working location role with schedule flexibility.

What You Will Do

  • Drive Purchase Requisition generation & Purchase Order placement/management using Material Request Forms (MRF) and/or Master Scheduling Authorization Tool (MSALT)
  • Coordinate purchase requirements with Engineering, Program Operations Management, and Production Control Planning and Scheduling
  • Own the monthly Latest Revised Estimate (LRE) and/or Estimate At Complete (EAC) process for your scope and track portfolio level sales performance against forecasts
  • Plan and execute sourcing decisions and support the Make/Buy/Where (M/B/W) process
  • Develop and execute a Material Program Plan (MPP) and Supplier Management Plans (SMPs)
  • Generate Supplier Request for Information/Proposals/Quotes (RFIs/RFPs/RFQs), and obtain and understand supplier proposals/quotes
  • Assist with the generation of Supplier Statements of Work (SSOWs)
  • Identify Customer Prime Contract Flow-Downs and initiating Material Contract Briefs (MCBs) with required Terms Attachments (T-Attachments) and/or Modifications (TCMs)
  • Participate in supplier engagements and reviews to ensure supplier performance

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
  • Must have successfully completed an RTX Skillbridge Internship Program
  • Experience with Supply Chain, Operations, and/or Procurement processes and requirements

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Supply chain experience in the Aerospace or Defense Industry
  • Prior work experience with Microsoft Office software applications (Word, PowerPoint, and/or Excel including Pivot Tables)
  • Excellent reporting skills and experience leading and/or participating in cross functional teams
  • Experience with Latest Revised Estimate (LRE), Estimate At Complete (EAC), and Risk and Opportunity (R&O) management processes

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
