Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) / DevOps Engineer – Secrets Management Platforms
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) / DevOps Engineer to support and maintain enterprise secrets management and privileged access platforms within a large-scale production environment. This is an operations-focused role responsible for ensuring the health, performance, availability, security, and resiliency of critical infrastructure supporting CyberArk and HashiCorp Vault environments.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience supporting either CyberArk Vault or HashiCorp Vault in production, with expertise in platform administration, monitoring, upgrades, patching, disaster recovery readiness, incident management, and automation. Candidates with experience supporting both technologies are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, support, and maintain CyberArk and/or HashiCorp Vault platforms in production environments.
- Monitor platform health, performance, availability, and capacity across clustered deployments.
- Perform platform upgrades, patching, configuration management, and maintenance activities.
- Execute and validate backup, snapshot, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Support Vault sealing/unsealing processes, cluster operations, and high-availability environments.
- Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and drive issue resolution.
- Support application integrations utilizing APIs and secrets management solutions.
- Automate operational processes through scripting and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
- Partner with security, cloud, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure platform stability and compliance.
- Participate in incident response and on-call support activities as required.
- Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, Platform Engineering, or related operational support roles.
- Strong hands-on operational support experience in enterprise production environments.
- Experience supporting either HashiCorp Vault or CyberArk Vault infrastructure.
- Experience with platform monitoring, alerting, incident management, and operational troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience performing upgrades, patching, configuration management, and maintenance activities.
- Strong understanding of disaster recovery, backup validation, and platform resiliency practices.
- Experience troubleshooting infrastructure, automation, and application integration issues.
- Ability to read, troubleshoot, and modify code or scripts when necessary.
- Experience with Bitbucket and Terraform.
- Strong experience supporting cloud environments including AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
HashiCorp Vault Experience
Candidates should have experience with some or all of the following:
- Vault cluster administration and support
- Cluster health monitoring and performance management
- Vault upgrades and patching
- Snapshot verification and backup validation
- Disaster recovery testing and readiness
- Vault sealing/unsealing procedures
- Leadership verification and cluster operations
- API-based application integrations
- High-availability and enterprise Vault deployments
Candidates should have experience with some or all of the following:
- CyberArk Vault administration and support
- Backend CyberArk Vault components and architecture
- Vault configuration and maintenance
- Platform monitoring and operational support
- Upgrades, patching, and performance management
- Troubleshooting CyberArk infrastructure issues
- Enterprise privileged access management environments
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting both CyberArk and HashiCorp Vault platforms
- Experience within large enterprise or financial services environments
- Strong automation and scripting capabilities
- Experience supporting highly regulated or security-focused infrastructure
- Previous experience supporting large-scale production operations team
