Site Manager - Hawkins Nutrition Center

The Rusk County Department of Health & Human Services, Senior Services Section, has one (1) part-time opening for a Site Manager at the Hawkins meal site. This position is responsible for the effective operation of the nutrition center.

This position will be on average 3.25 hours per day Monday-Thursday, except holidays. Typical start time is around 9:15-9:30am.

Examples of Duties:
  1. Assume administrative and supervisory functions necessary for effective site operation.
  2. Keeps records necessary for program accounting required by the ADRC Program Manager.
  3. Collects and accounts for monetary donations from meal participants.
  4. Responsible for supervision and training of Kitchen Aide, Janitor and volunteers.
  5. Responsible for site inventory.
  6. Responsible for packaging of home delivered meals.
  7. Responsible for proper food holding temperatures for the congregate meals and during delivery of the home delivered meals.
  8. Directs and assists in clean-up activities.
  9. Must attend site manager’s meetings and training sessions as scheduled by the ADRC Program Manager.
Typical Qualifications:
  1. Good knowledge of proper cooking and food preparation methods.
  2. Good knowledge of safety and sanitation regulations relating to the preparation and serving of food. Must become Serve Safe certified. Training provided.
  3. Food Safe Certification - will train once on the job.
  4. Ability to supervise and train all other site employees and volunteers.
  5. Ability to follow directions.
  6. Dependability, tact and courtesy.
  7. Good physical condition – ability to lift.
  8. Ability to work with time constraints.
  9. Must be able to furnish own transportation for the job.
