As our new Site Director, you will lead the safe, compliant and high-performing operation of the India site, ensuring alignment with company health and safety standards, Group policies and local KPIs. You’ll be responsible for setting and delivering the site’s strategy, driving both immediate priorities and long-term growth through a clear focus on change and continuous improvement and and operational excellence. 

Working within a matrix structure, you will collaborate closely with Group functions including Commercial, Finance, Purchasing, R&D, IT and HR to ensure alignment with wider strategic objectives. As the senior leader on site, you will bring teams together, providing clear direction and leadership to ensure all functions are aligned, engaged and working towards shared success. 

Some of your key responsibilities:  

  • Act as the senior accountable leader for HSEQ and Process Safety, ensuring full regulatory compliance, robust risk management, emergency preparedness and effective stakeholder engagement with regulators.  

  • Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement by challenging the status quo, embedding lean practices, increasing productivity and reducing costs across all functions.  

  • Lead and develop a high-performing, values-led culture, including performance management, succession planning and capability development.  

  • Own site performance and planning, including budgets, forecasting, capital expenditure and long-term asset reliability, sustainability and risk management strategies.  

  • Enhance customer focus and operational alignment by improving service levels, embedding best practice and collaborating with Group and other sites. 

 

What do I need to be successful in this role?  

  • Proven senior leadership experience in manufacturing or engineering, with a strong track record of delivering performance improvement and cultural transformation.  

  • Strong knowledge of HSE, Process Safety Management and ISO standards, with the ability to operate compliantly within local regulatory frameworks.  

  • Commercial and strategic mindset, supported by strong financial, analytical and business management capability.  

  • Ability to lead, coach and develop high-performing teams, influencing stakeholders and driving cross-functional collaboration in a matrix environment.  

  • Experience in lean manufacturing, supply chain optimisation and capital project management, with the ability to prioritise and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
