We are scaling a San Diego multifamily pipeline and building the field team that will turn modular construction into a repeatable operating system. This role is for a hands-on and technical superintendent who can lead the jobsite, coordinate trades, manage inspections, enforce safety, and connect the field with Domo’s modular manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, and development teams.
Position Overview:
The Site Superintendent will own day-to-day field execution for Domo’s multifamily modular construction projects in San Diego. This person will coordinate on-site subcontractors, field crews, inspectors, material deliveries, site logistics, and modular unit installation activities to keep work moving safely, cleanly, and on schedule.
The right candidate has strong multifamily construction experience, can run a disciplined jobsite, understands podium and site work sequencing, and is comfortable working in a fast-moving company where field feedback directly improves the next project.
Position Overview:
The Site Superintendent will manage day-to-day on-site activities, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure that all field operations align with project plans, schedules, and safety standards to deliver high-quality modular projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee all on-site construction activities for modular multi-family housing projects.
· Provide input during preconstruction meetings with design consultants, DOMO Manufacturing and relevant subcontractors
· Manage subcontractors and field crews to ensure schedule, quality, and safety compliance.
· Lead daily safety meetings and enforce site safety protocols.
· Monitor and report progress to project management; adjust workflows as needed.
· Ensure work meets project plans, specifications, and regulatory standards.
· Identify and resolve field issues to prevent delays.
· Maintain accurate daily reports, including progress, issues, and site conditions.
· Coordinate material deliveries and on-site inventory.
· Support inspections, QA/QC processes, and interface with inspectors, contractors, and local officials.
· Visit warehouse as needed to coordinate modular unit repairs or rework prior to delivery.
· Negotiate with contractors to ensure fair pricing on change orders.
· Foster strong relationships with team members and external partners.
· Uphold high standards of workmanship and site organization.
· Perform additional duties as required to support project success.
Qualifications:
· 8–12 years of experience, with direct experience in multi-family housing projects (required).
· Previous experience in modular construction is preferred (but not required); multi-family experience is required.
· Strong experience with Type I podium construction preferred.
· Strong understanding of construction safety standards and site management practices.
· Ability to read and interpret construction plans, documents, and schedules.
· Proficiency in Procore is a must.
· Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to manage multiple trades and coordinate schedules to meet project deadlines.
· Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with project management and field teams.
· OSHA certification preferred.
· A degree in Construction Management or a related field is a plus.
