You take pride in maintaining equipment, troubleshooting issues, and creating a polished, realistic training experience for every participant.

In this role, you will support the daily operations of the Simulation Center by ensuring all equipment, spaces, and systems are prepared, functional, and maintained to the highest standards. You will collaborate closely with the Simulation Program Manager, facilitators, and learners to deliver high-quality, immersive simulation-based education. Your ability to stay organized, communicate clearly, and respond quickly to technical needs will help ensure a smooth and effective learning environment.


Location: Menlo Park, CA

Pay rate: $37.47/hr - $42.50/hr W2

Schedule: [ Full-time (M-F, 8 hours, days)


What you will do:

Simulation Support & Operations

  • Support facilitators, learners, and approved visitors in the use of simulation spaces and equipment
  • Prepare, plan, and facilitate simulation-based education sessions
  • Assist in the setup, operation, and breakdown of simulation events, including equipment, supplies, and AV systems
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully functional simulation environment


Technical Management & Maintenance

  • Operate and maintain simulation equipment, including mannequins, task trainers, and AV/IS systems
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and collaborate with internal staff and vendors to resolve problems
  • Communicate technical issues clearly and efficiently to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ensure all simulation technology and equipment are functioning properly and up to date


Education & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with staff to support effective simulation-based learning experiences
  • Assist in orienting learners and facilitators to the simulation center and its equipment
  • Serve as a technical resource and subject matter expert within the simulation environment
  • Support interns and volunteers as needed


Documentation & Coordination

  • Assist with maintaining paperwork, logs, and records related to simulation activities
  • Help ensure proper organization and readiness of all simulation materials and supplies
  • Support ongoing improvements to simulation processes and workflows


What you bring:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years of related experience in healthcare simulation preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in a technology or operations-based role required
  • CHSOS certification preferred


Knowledge & Skills:

  • Experience with simulation technologies, including mannequin-based simulators and AV systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with PC and Mac systems and common software tools
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems
  • Basic understanding of healthcare environments, policies, and safety standards (preferred)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
