The Campus Director provides strategic, operational, and community leadership for the Sidney campus. Due to the campus’s smaller, rural setting, this role requires a highly collaborative and versatile leader who can assess community needs and translate them into relevant workforce development, community education, and training initiatives. The Campus Director serves as the primary campus representative, building strong partnerships with employers, school districts, civic organizations, and community stakeholders to support regional economic vitality and student success.Job descriptions are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed by employees and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job.
  • Serve as the chief administrative and operational leader of the Sidney campus, ensuring alignment with institutional mission, values, and strategic priorities.
  • Assess local and regional workforce and community needs and develop responsive educational, training, and outreach programming.
  • Lead workforce development initiatives in partnership with local employers, industry groups, and economic development organizations.
  • Foster strong collaboration with academic leadership, faculty, staff, and system-wide departments to deliver quality instruction and student services.
  • Represent the institution within the Sidney community and the service region and build relationships with civic leaders, K–12 partners, businesses, and community organizations.
  • Oversee campus operations including scheduling, facilities coordination, resource allocation, and compliance with institutional policies.
  • Support enrollment growth, student retention, and student success through outreach and community-aligned programming.
  • Manage campus budgets and resources responsibly.
  • Supervise and support campus staff and promote a collaborative, service-oriented campus culture.
  • Monitor program effectiveness and use data and feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • With proper training, serve in Title IX processes as requested by the Title IX Coordinator
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, business, public administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in higher education, workforce development, community education, or a related environment.
  • Proven ability to build and sustain collaborative partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of workforce development, community training, and rural education needs.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Possession of, or the ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record that does not exclude the driver from coverage under WNCC’s vehicle insurance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in education, leadership, administration, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working in a rural or small-campus setting.
  • Background in program development, employer engagement, or workforce development initiatives.
  • Experience with budgeting, staff supervision, and cross-functional leadership.
Alternate Sitting or Standing at Will - The ability to alternate between sitting and standing is present when a worker has the flexibility to choose between sitting or standing as needed when this need cannot be accommodated by scheduled breaks and/or lunch period.

Keyboarding - Entering text or data into a computer or other machine by means of a traditional keyboard. Traditional Keyboard refers to a panel of keys used as the primary input device on a computer, typographic machine or 10-Key numeric keypad.

Speaking - Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to clients or the public and to convey detailed spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.

Hearing Requirements - The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds (e.g., machinery alarms, medical codes or alarms).
