Job Title: Shipping Coordinator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Shipping Coordinator to efficiently manage the shipping responsibilities within our manufacturing environment. This position requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to maintain organized records of all incoming and outgoing shipments using ERP systems.

Responsibilities

  • Unload fabricated products from paint carts.
  • Receive and process paperwork for upcoming shipments.
  • Organize incomplete orders in the shipping area and apply appropriate shipping labels and packing lists.
  • Stage products in the correct area for shipping.
  • Assist with receiving tasks as needed.
  • Perform banding and wrapping of shipments.
  • Utilize ERP systems for daily operations.
  • Track internal movements of late or soon-to-be-late orders.
  • Operate forklifts to move finished goods.
  • Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the Supply Chain Department.
  • Help maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
  • Transport products using a forklift.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in inventory management and logistics.
  • Experience with shipping and receiving processes.
  • Knowledge of data entry and order processing.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • GED or High School Diploma required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in the shipping area of a manufacturing/metal fabrication company.
  • Experience using power tools and forklifts.
  • Strong computer skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work 10-hour days in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

The work environment can be hot during the summer months. The position requires working from 6am to 2:30pm. Physical demands include standing, sitting, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, pulling, pushing, assembling, and carrying for extended periods of time. Candidates should be able to lift and move weights ranging from 25 to 100 pounds, with assistance for heavier loads.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Beloit, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
