Shipping Coordinator

This position requires a self-reliant, highly motivated individual capable of working both independently and with a team. You must effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment with organization, accuracy, and efficiency. Responsibilities include shipping, order fulfillment, customer returns, and shipping supply inventory management. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, accurate, resourceful, punctual, and reliable, with strong math and communication skills. Working alongside the Operations team, you will fulfill sales orders accurately and promptly, ensuring proper product identification, picking, staging, packing, and shipping.

Responsibilities

• Assure orders and shipping quantities match picking documents.
• Pick and pack orders per instructions for shipment preparation.
• Coordinate with package delivery companies and freight forwarders to ensure timely shipment.
• Receive shipping supply inventory, verify accuracy, and shelve products.
• Process outbound shipments, including moving boxes weighing up to 40 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Use palletizing materials and a pallet jack.
• Maintain accurate records of all items shipped and received.
• Prepare shipping documents, including packing lists, commercial invoices, certificates of origin, and shipping labels for domestic and international shipments.
• Follow up on shipping delays promptly.
• Purchase and maintain shipping materials and inventory.
• Provide shipping quotes to the sales team.
• Keep up with key safety training.
• Perform other essential duties as required.

• At least 3 years of shipping and receiving experience.
• At least 3 years of inventory management experience.
• Experience with logistics and export.
• Experience with various shipping methods.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience with Incoterms and export requirements.

• Strong math and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and resourceful.
• Punctual and reliable.

Work Environment

This position is based in a warehouse setting, working with a global leader in the design and manufacture of easy-to-install, ultra-precise electric power instruments for monitoring power quality and energy, and performing data analysis.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alameda, CA.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Alameda,CA.
