APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Sterling Heights, MI looking to add a Shipping and Receiving Associate to their already amazing team. Their primary responsibility will be managing incoming and outgoing materials, maintaining accurate inventory, and supporting production through kit building and material handling. What your day will look like:
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming materials and shipments
- Prepare and ship outgoing products accurately and on time
- Use Plex system to track inventory, transactions, and material movement
- Operate hi-lo (forklift) safely to move, load, and unload materials
- Perform regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy
- Build and stage kits for the production line based on work orders
- Maintain organized storage areas and ensure proper labeling of materials
- Support production needs by ensuring timely material availability
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
What we are looking for:
- 3+ years of shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations
- Familiarity with Plex or similar ERP system required
- Forklift (hi-lo) experience required
- Experience with cycle counts and inventory control
- Ability to build production kits and follow work instructions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
