Job Title: Back Office Medical Assistant

Location: Sherman Oaks

Pay Rate: $21 per hour

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Back Office Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team in Lynwood, CA. The ideal candidate will support providers with clinical duties, ensure accurate documentation, and help deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical setting.

• Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical procedures
• Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and patient information
• Perform clinical duties including injections, EKGs, phlebotomy, wound care, and specimen collection (as applicable)
• Prepare, clean, and maintain exam rooms and medical equipment
• Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Administer medications per provider orders and protocol
• Follow all infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines
• Provide patients with instructions and respond to basic clinical questions
• Work closely with front office staff to ensure smooth patient flow

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or Medical Assistant certification
• Previous back office or clinical experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
• Experience with EMR systems
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy clinical environment

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to [X] lbs with or without reasonable accommodation

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
