We’re looking for a full-time Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) who has valid Airframe & Powerplant certification to join our Technical Operations team in one of United’s domestic HUBS.
In this vital role, you will provide service and maintenance for aircraft systems, Powerplant, Airframe and Components. You’ll handle a wide variety of duties that make every day different, including inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, parts replacement and repair, as well as routine maintenance.

- Unlike smaller regional airlines, you’ll have the opportunity to work on larger, highly sophisticated aircraft with United.

- You will generally be working out in the elements, so you must be capable of handling weather extremes.
- You will likely roll up your sleeves, but for those who enjoy hands-on work, it’s all part of the job.
Flexibility and dependability are essential
- Since this is a union position based on seniority, you will be assigned an initial schedule designed to meet our needs at the airport.
- You must be available for any shift within a 24/7 operation, weekends and holidays.
- You may be required to work mandatory overtime, when necessary.
- Punctuality and reliability are essential – we’ve got flight schedules to meet!

Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- High School diploma or GED
- FAA A&P License
- Valid US driver's license (revoked, suspended or expired are not considered valid)
- Must pass 10-year background check
- Must be willing to take a pre-placement physical abilities test, hearing and vision tests, and drug screen
- Must be flexible to work any shift in a 24/7 operation, including nights, weekends and holidays
- Candidate must be able to clear a fingerprint-based criminal history check in order to obtain and retain credentials necessary for the position
- Position-specific clearances include but are not limited to FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal service clearances
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
The starting rate for this role is $38.77.
This is also a bonus eligible position (i.e. profit sharing).
