Description

SAIC is seeking a skilled and motivatedServiceNow Developerto join our team in support of an enterprise IT environment. The primary focus of this role is on the design, development, implementation, and enhancement ofServiceNowworkflows and capabilities to address complex business and operational needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing custom modules, maintaining platform configurations, integrating ServiceNow with other enterprise systems, and ensuring adherence to best practices and security standards. 

 

This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, including stakeholders, system administrators, and process owners, to design scalable solutions that improve business processes, enable automation, and enhance operational efficiency. TheServiceNow Developerwill work in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment to deliver innovative solutions that align with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Design and Development:Develop and customize ServiceNow applications, modules, and workflows to meet business and operational requirements, leveraging modern best practices. 

  • Platform Configuration:Configure ServiceNow components, including UI policies, business rules, client scripts, workflows, ACLs, and system properties, to enhance platform functionality and usability. 

  • Integration Management:Design and implement integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems and data sources using APIs, middleware, and scripted solutions. 

  • Custom Applications:Build custom ServiceNow applications and modules to address unique organizational needs, providing scalable and efficient solutions. 

  • Automation & Optimization:Create and maintain automated workflows, streamline processes, and identify opportunities to improve service delivery through automation. 

  • Troubleshooting & Maintenance:Perform diagnostics, issue resolution, and platform upgrades while minimizing service disruptions and ensuring system security. 

  • Documentation:Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, workflow diagrams, and operational procedures for ServiceNow configurations and applications. 

  • Stakeholder Collaboration:Work closely with stakeholders, project managers, process owners, and technical teams to translate business requirements into tailored platform solutions. 

  • Quality Assurance:Conduct testing and validation of ServiceNow configurations and custom applications to ensure performance, scalability, and compatibility with organizational standards. 

User Support:Provide support and training to end-users and administrators, ensuring optimal use of the ServiceNow platform and expanding platform adoption. 

Qualifications

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree  

Certifications (CWF Requirements): 

  • Candidates must satisfy Cybersecurity Workforce Framework (CWF)ID 621 (Software Developer – Intermediate Level)requirements, as outlined byNavy COOL. 
    This requirement can be met by possessing one or more of the following qualifying certifications: 

  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) 

  • ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) 

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) 

  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – IT Service Management (CIS-ITSM) 

  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – IT Operations Management (CIS-ITOM) 

  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Customer Service Management (CIS-CSM) 

  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Human Resources (CIS-HR) 

  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Security Incident Response (CIS-SIR) 

OR This requirement can be met through: 

  • ABachelor’s Degreein Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, or a related field. 

Experience: 

  • 2-5 yearsof professional experience managing and supporting enterprise-levelServiceNow environments. 

Technical Skills: 

  • Proficiency inJavaScriptfor scripting and customizations within the ServiceNow platform. 

  • Experience developing and maintainingServiceNow applicationsusingServiceNow StudioorScoped Applications. 

  • Advanced scripting knowledge, includingServer-Side Scripts(Business Rules, Script Includes) andClient-Side Scripts(Client Scripts, UI Policies). 

  • Expertise inServiceNow Glide APIfor database manipulation, API calls, and integrations. 

  • Ability to create and manageREST and SOAP APIswithin ServiceNow for third-party integrations. 

  • Experience in creating and editingWorkflows,Flow Designer, andAutomated Tasks. 

Clearance Requirement: 

  • ActiveTS/SCIclearance with the ability to obtain and maintain aTS/SCI with Poly. 

 

Work Environment and Notes: 

  • On-Site Work:All work must be conductedon-sitein Springfield, VA. 

  • Program Scope:Supports on-premises enterprise IT environments, including virtualized Windows servers, MS SQL Server databases, and networking layers. 

  • Subcontractor Role:Responsibilities and compensation vary based on the subcontract agreement, with a competitive salary aligned to market rates and role-specific requirements.
