Position: Service Technician
Pay Rate: $25.00 / hourly
Location: Stockton, CA
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM / 5:30 PM (Overtime Available)
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join a growing team that specializes in commercial doors, gates, and dock equipment. This role plays a critical part in delivering exceptional customer service while performing installation, repair, and maintenance services.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a high standard of workmanship. This position is well suited for someone who takes pride in their work, collaborates well with a team, and is interested in long-term growth within a principle-driven company.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and perform maintenance on commercial doors, gates, and dock equipment following company procedures and safety standards.
- Diagnose issues and develop accurate service plans using analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Travel to customer sites using a company-provided service vehicle equipped with necessary tools and materials.
- Educate customers on proper product operation, maintenance, and best practices.
- Maintain strong professionalism and customer service during all service calls.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and lift equipment.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work completed and service performed.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Qualifications
- Valid California Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a commercial door, gate, or dock service technician.
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols and compliance standards.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Professional attitude with a strong work ethic and coachable mindset.
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts, equipment, and procedures.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and lift equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs., climb ladders, and perform repetitive bending and lifting.
