Join the Community Development Department as a full-time Planning Technician. This position will perform a variety of technical and land use planning related duties and assignments.

Key duties will involve customer service, intake of all land use planning applications, issuance of permits, responding to requests for information, reviewing plans/submittals for completeness, tracking information and reviewing submittals for completeness, maintaining accurate records, determiningfees and processing payments.

Proposed in office work schedule is, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.

An Associate’s Degree in a related field and two years of experience in planning, zoning, community development, building, and/or construction, and customer service; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed in the job description.

Licensing Requirements (positions in this class require):
  • Valid driver’s license, Oregon Class C with an acceptable driving record
