Summary of Primary Function/General Purpose of Position

The Service Line Coordinator supports the operational, financial, quality, and administrative functions of clinical service lines including Cardiovascular, Oncology, Therapy, Orthopedics, Neuroscience, & Transplant by providing data analysis, CV registry support, coordinating physician payment processes (medical directorships & call), and organizing meetings and communications. This role partners closely with physicians and service line leadership to prepare reports, support strategic initiatives, and assist in the development of marketing and outreach materials. The coordinator ensures efficient workflow, accurate information management, and effective engagement across the service lines.

Essential Job Functions

Cardiovascular Service Line (50-60%)

  • Support CV registries (Cath/PCI, TVT, LAAO, STS, VQI).

  • Assist with development and maintenance of CV service line dashboard (volume, market share, case mix index, LOS, readmissions, contribution margin).

  • Monitor STS, ACC, NCDR, and internal quality metrics.

  • Support preparation for quality committee reporting & CV governance.

  • Identify variation in outcomes and support performance improvement initiatives.

  • ODH submission

  • Serve as a liaison between physicians, administrators, and internal departments to facilitate communication and follow-up on action items.

All Service Lines: (40-50%)

  • Physician Payments (30%) - coordinate & process physician payments for medical directorships & call ensuring timely and accurate payments including maintaining organized records and documentation related to service line operations, financials, and projects.

  • (10-20%) Provide administrative and project support for strategic service line initiatives and growth efforts. Support process improvement initiatives by identifying workflow inefficiencies and assisting in implementing solutions. Assist in the development and maintenance of marketing and outreach materials, including presentations, flyers, and digital content. Support physician engagement and service line efforts by coordinating meetings, documenting discussions, and tracking key initiatives.

Employment Qualifications

Required Minimum Education: 2 year/ Associates Degree

Preferred Education: 4 year/ Bachelors Degree

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Years and Type of Experience: 1-3 years of healthcare experience required, could be in analytics, finance, quality, or operational performance experience. Cardiovascular service line experience and or cardiac catheterization lab experience strongly preferred.

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred

  • Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint

  • EPIC

  • Knowledge of CV quality registries (STS, NCDR, ACC).

  • Understanding of hospital finances

  • Analyzing data and populating scorecards

  • Executive communication and presentation skills.
