Job Description:
Brooks Instrument (www.brooksinstrument.com), an industry leader in flow and pressure instrumentation for critical applications, is seeking candidates for a Service and Repair Technician position that will be based at the company headquarters in Hatfield, Pennsylvania (suburban Philadelphia). Basic Function
Proficient computer skills required to support the disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, troubleshooting, testing, and calibration of flow measurement controllers in the Service and Repair Department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Follow established procedures and processes.
Purge and/or clean industrial devices exposed to hazardous fluids.
Disassemble/reassemble devices. Water wash appropriate parts.
Log replaced parts in RMA tracker and MAPICS, and update RMA tracker for completing status summary reports.
Perform pressure tests and helium leak tests, and repair meter by replacing parts.
Prepare devices for calibration.
Ability to adapt and perform repairs across multiple industrial device product families.
Troubleshooting of flow measurement controllers/meters.
Have the ability to use Teamcenter to locate assembly drawings, Bill of Materials and other business system as necessary.
Read and understand product operating specifications/configurations as they pertain to pressure, gas and liquid type, etc.
The ability to follow all safety policies and procedures.
Support company and department with continuous improvement initiatives.
Keep work areas clean and organized.
Maintain regular attendance and is able to get along and work in a team environment.
Take direction from team leads and management.
Other duties as assigned.
Tools and Equipment
Wrenches, screwdrivers, torque wrenches, test equipment and basic computer programs.
Education and Experience
Basic computer skills using email and web sites
Microsoft Excel and Word is preferred.
Experience in industrial assembly and calibration preferred.
Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude desired.
Familiarity with various hand tools and their application/use preferred.
The ability to multi-task is required.
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Must be able to read and write (English).
