Clarendale of Algonquin is seeking a hospitality-focused Specialty Server/Food Prep Specialist to join our culinary team. This role is essential in maintaining quality, efficiency, and organization during service, ensuring every meal meets our high standards and is delivered with care.
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of the position:
- Ensure each dish is plated according to established standards
- Verify garnishes, portion sizes, and overall plate cleanliness
- Maintain consistent presentation that reflects our commitment to quality
- Inspect food for proper temperature, consistency, and appearance
- Identify and correct errors before dishes are served
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of every order
- Monitor and organize incoming tickets for efficiency
- Prioritize orders to ensure timely and proper course delivery
- Coordinate timing between the kitchen and caregivers to prevent delays
- Serve as the liaison between kitchen staff and caregivers
- Relay special instructions, modifications, and updates accurately
- Ensure all dietary restrictions, allergies, and special requests are handled with care
- Communicate modifications clearly to prevent errors or cross-contamination
- Support safe and accurate meal delivery for all residents
- Maintain organization and composure during busy service periods
- Keep all stations clean, organized, and restocked
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous food service experience preferred
- Experience working with seniors preferred
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Pay Range: Depending on experience
