Job Title: Server Analyst – US Citizen Required for Clearance
Location: Columbia, South Carolina (Partial Onsite)
Schedule: Full-Time
Work Arrangement: Hybrid — Onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and as needed

Position Summary
The Server Analyst is responsible for supporting enterprise server operations across multiple platforms, with a focus on maintaining system availability, performance, security, and operational stability. This role provides technical analysis, infrastructure support, and operational oversight within a fast-paced enterprise environment.
The position works closely with technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to analyze system performance, implement infrastructure solutions, support automation initiatives, and ensure compliance with security and audit requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform operational monitoring, system health checks, and daily server administration activities.
- Analyze server workloads, traffic patterns, utilization trends, and system performance metrics.
- Provide technical analysis and support throughout infrastructure development, implementation, and operational processes.
- Compile and analyze operational data to assist with new system designs, upgrades, and infrastructure modifications.
- Test and validate servers and supporting hardware/software to ensure performance and compliance with technical specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers, technical specialists, vendors, and users to evaluate system interfaces and installation requirements.
- Support incident response, problem management, and operational troubleshooting activities.
- Maintain server security controls, backup procedures, and disaster recovery processes.
- Address vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with audit and security standards within required timelines.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge resources.
- Provide technical guidance and training related to hardware, software, and operational processes.
- Monitor system performance trends and recommend proactive improvements.
- Stay current with evolving server technologies and industry best practices.
Required Technical Skills
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
- Enterprise infrastructure management experience
- Ansible automation experience
- Scripting experience using Bash, Perl, YAML, or similar languages
- Advanced knowledge of server hardware, operating systems, and enterprise platforms
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
- Experience with server monitoring, performance analysis, and security utilities
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong organizational, collaboration, and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications
- RAID storage and custom server configuration experience
- Solid networking fundamentals related to server environments
- AIX experience
- Solaris experience
- IT Vulnerability Management experience
- Security and compliance experience within enterprise environments
Education & Experience Requirements
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- OR
- Four (4) years of relevant work experience
- OR
- Two (2) years of relevant experience plus an Associate’s degree in a related field
- Minimum six (6) years of server or infrastructure-related experience
Preferred:
- Seven (7)+ years supporting enterprise infrastructure or server environments involving analysis, planning, and implementation
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certifications
Work Environment
- Fast-paced, multi-platform enterprise environment
- Participation in on-call rotation, approved overtime, and occasional weekend work
- Collaborative Unix Operations team supporting operational availability, maintenance activities, security vulnerability management, and project initiatives
